History of the Mystic Krewe of Apollo

Apollo began as a social organization introduced in 1969 in New Orleans, where we adopted the traditions of Mardi Gras with our unique flare. Today, Apollo celebrates Mardi Gras by hosting a formal Bal Masque in five cities; Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Dallas, Lafayette, and Shreveport.  Apollo’s history has established a reputation of splendor, creativity, pageantry, and gaiety in all of these cities.

An elite group of Texans has come together in order to foster fraternal and social unity in the Dallas-area community. This organization will stage an annual  Bal Masque, and related festivities, in celebration of Mardi Gras. A uniting purpose is that our events along with our partnerships will be a vehicle to supporting various non-profit Texas Organizations.
